Custody and Booking Records
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office operates the county jail and is the proper first contact for current local custody, a known booking record, or an intake photograph. Ask whether the office accepts the request by mail, email, or another channel, identify the person and booking date, and request a cost estimate. No general booking-record fee or fixed response time is published.

State and Federal Custody
The Iowa Department of Corrections is the source for people committed to state corrections or under state supervision. Federal Bureau of Prisons and ICE locators cover their own systems. None is a substitute for the Monroe County Jail, and none can establish the outcome of a county charge.
Site Questions
Questions about site wording or broken links may be sent through the site’s available contact channel. Do not send sensitive identifiers, legal documents, or urgent custody questions. An arrest allegation is not a conviction, and the court disposition is the source for the final outcome.
